I have come face to face with a monster and I now know that have no choice but to admit I have a problem. The first thing I did when I saw this vintage Revolver Hair Dryer was reach for my wallet to purchase the $375 contraption. The fact I hardly ever blow dry my hair is irrelevant, we are talking about a blow dryer fashioned to look like a .357 Magnum Revolver. PLUS-because it just keeps getting better- it comes with a holster.

However, my world came crashing down around me when I realized that this blow dryer actually is vintage, meaning obviously there aren't just dozens of these available for the pickings, and it was sold on October 12, 2012.

YSL SAMPLE SALE

All I care about in life is handbags and heels; and no, I do not care how that makes me sound.  Anyways, because I only have classes Tuesday/Thursday and no life in between I arrived to the sale at the tender time of 5AM and was about the twentieth person in line.

[If you know nothing else about sample sales know this: go early or go the fuck home. If you go early you end up waiting in line less time than you would if you go right when it starts and obviously you get first dibs on merchandise.]

Because I was within the first group to get in, I was able to score some much coveted handbags;

Y-Mail clutch ($445), Y-Mail tote ($1195), and a Vanity Bowler ($1795), and a pair of brown wedges which I conveniently already own in black ($895). All in all, I ended up spending $1400 and receiving $4775 in merchandise.

If you are planning on going to the sale get there early! Typically stock is added each night, but the bags are always the first to go. Remember, I was with the first 50 people that were let in and the y-mail clutches and plain leather bags were gone within moments!

Times are never 100% certain but the YSL sale is slated to last until tonight (10/24) at 8pm and tomorrow (10/25) from 10am-? at Soiffer Haskin 317 W. 33rd street, b/w 8th/9th ave.

Mark my words: Neoprene is making a come back (Neoprene is a fabric-think wetsuit). In the form of ultra trendy accessories (and clothes)! Back in 2009 Louis Vuitton's Resort collection had a hot pink neoprene tote but I see the trend trickling down to the masses. Personally, I LOVE the Leghila bags. New Museum

So, I know I haven't posted in forever but when I saw this it was a necessity. If you're in or around NYC between now and January 15, you MUST go to the New Museum for the Carsten Holler Experience. Although definitely DON'T go on a weekend you'll be extremely mad at the wait times.

It's legitimately amazing. There's a see through slide that you ride through three floors, a swing carousel, an immersion tank you can float in, an aquarium that has cut outs for your head so that you can lay down and look up at all the fish, and some illusion that makes you feel like your nose is growing. Oh, and let me not forget my personal favorite a love drug that you can sniff! It's been described as an art world amusement park.

But for real the slide is amazing, not to mention Holler's slides are famous, and he even has one inside Miuccia Prada's office.

Dw DEBUTS Today!

Above is a picture of the invite for Kanye West's debut fashion show Dw named after his mother Donda West. I must admit I'm highly anticipating this debut and it should be (hopefully be) well received, but who knows with Kanye. 

2013 NBA CHAMPS...BROOKLYN NETS?!

Yeah, I don't believe that either. But neither here nor there. Jay-Z announced today that the New Jersey Nets will undergo a major change next year when they move from Jersey to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where they will become the Brooklyn Nets. He's also said they will be having new colors and uniforms although he wasn't allowed to disclose that info just yet.
He's also kicking off the opening of new arena with a concert series. "We're going to open this arena right here with a concert. Maybe one, maybe two, maybe three.....I sound like LeBron," Jay said. Rumor has it the final number is eight where all-access passes are expected to fetch up to $15,400.
The new logo will be unveiled in February.

So all ya'll are aware of how people swallow capsules of drugs and try to smuggle them into other countries...Well, you're looking at a KILO of Cocaine inside of a 20 year old mans stomach! He was trying to smuggle it from Brazil back to Europe and his ass got CAUGHT cause he was lookin' suspect. They ordered a full body scan (technology now a days) and this is what they found. smh. I mean that comin' out of the other end would have HURT. I wish I knew how much he was supposed to get paid for this.

Can you spot what's up with this picture?? KIDDING. It's the cover art for Watch the Throne and features Jay-Z's lips and nose on Kanye's face. Interesting. 

I JUST HAD TO.

     In case you are unaware, my main annoyance in life are knock offs. Not only is it disrespectful for the designer but it is also disrespectful for those individuals who actually spend the money for the real thing. Furthermore, those individuals with knockoffs are always the ones trying to stunt walking around like everybody doesn't know it's fake.
     I am fully aware most people don't have thousands to drop on handbags-which is what Coach, Dooney & Bourke, Juicy Couture, and many other brands are for. If you don't have the thousands then spend less money on lesser name brands.
     While all fakes get on my nerves, the Chanel Cambon Shopping Tote aggravates me the most. Not only do you look like an idiot because that's the most widely spotted Chanel knockoff, but everyone (who knows anything about anything) can see it is a blatant fake. How? Because there are telltale signs; for instance, the lining is shocking pink NOT black, and the interlocking C's are not located directly on the bags side. Because of this, I have felt compelled to post  pictures of a real Cambon bag. Also, keep in mind retail for a large Cambon is $2,295.
